I am assured that

with the reduction in clerical

work which would result from

the establishment of a final audit in the Colony, the existing Staff of the Treasury proper - would be sufficient to carry out the work of the department, leaving the whole of the Exam

branch to be transferred

to the new Audit Office, and

that the Auditor could efficiently

discharge

all his duties with

the staff mentioned in

paragraph 7.
